Privacy policy
How we collect, use and protect your personal information.
This policy is a starting point drafted for a Maltese pest control business. Have it reviewed by your data protection adviser and complete the bracketed details before publishing.

Pest Control Management Malta (“we”, “us”) is the data controller for the personal data described below. We are registered in Malta under company number C 00000, at Triq l-Industrija, Mrieħel, Birkirkara BKR 3000.
What we collect
- Contact details — name, telephone number, email address and the address of the property to be treated.
- Service information. The pest reported, the treatments carried out, products applied, photographs taken during a survey, and technician notes.
- Household information you choose to give us — for example the presence of children, pets, aquariums or someone with a respiratory condition. We ask for this only so treatments can be planned safely.
- Website usage data. Basic analytics about pages visited, collected only where you have consented to it.
Why we use it, and on what legal basis
- To provide the service you asked for — performance of a contract.
- To keep treatment records — legal obligation, since pesticide application records must be retained.
- To respond to enquiries — consent, or our legitimate interest in answering a question you asked us.
- To send service reminders to plan customers — performance of a contract.
- To send marketing — consent only, which you can withdraw at any time.
Who we share it with
We share personal data only where it is necessary: with our technicians attending your property, with our accountants for invoicing, with a beekeeper where a bee relocation is arranged, and with a regulator or auditor where the law requires it. We do not sell personal data, and we do not share it for third-party marketing.
How long we keep it
Treatment records are retained for [insert period, commonly 5 years] to meet record-keeping requirements. Enquiry records that do not lead to work are deleted after 24 months. Accounting records are kept for the period required by Maltese tax law.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you may request access to your data, correction of it, erasure where we have no continuing obligation to hold it, restriction of processing, portability, and you may object to processing based on legitimate interests. Where processing is based on consent you can withdraw that consent at any time. To exercise any of these rights, email info@pestcontrolmalta.com.mt.
If you are not satisfied with our response, you may complain to the Office of the Information and Data Protection Commissioner (IDPC) in Malta.
